What You'll Do
- Teach core kindergarten curriculum in literacy, mathematics, science, and social studies aligned with Colorado standards
- Create an engaging, nurturing classroom that celebrates exploration and growth
- Build foundational reading and numeracy skills through evidence-based instructional practices
- Support social-emotional development and positive peer relationships
- Communicate regularly with families about student progress and learning goals
- Monitor and assess student achievement, adapting lessons to meet individual needs
- Collaborate with specialists, colleagues, and support staff to address student learning and behavioral needs
Skills & Qualifications
- Colorado teacher certification in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or Kindergarten (or equivalent credential)
- Deep understanding of early childhood development and best practices in early literacy
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to differentiate instruction and engage diverse learners
- Genuine enthusiasm for working with young children and families
- Commitment to inclusive, equitable teaching practices
