Grading/Pipe Foreman (Missoula)

Williams Plumbing / Williams Civil Construction is seeking an experienced Grading/Pipe Foreman to lead our field operations in Missoula, Missoula County. This is a full-time position where you'll manage crews executing civil construction projects, with primary responsibility for grading and underground utilities work. If you're a hands-on leader with a proven track record in site management and the ability to balance safety, productivity, and team morale, we want to meet you.

About the Role

As Grading/Pipe Foreman for Williams Civil Construction, you'll oversee all aspects of field operations on active job sites in the Missoula area. You'll coordinate crew activities, maintain compliance with safety standards, and deliver quality work that meets project specifications and timelines.

What You'll Do

• Lead and supervise field crews on grading and pipe installation projects
• Manage underground utilities operations and ensure correct installation practices
• Track site progress against project schedules and quality standards
• Enforce safety protocols and build a strong safety culture on site
• Communicate with project managers, engineers, and clients regarding site conditions and milestones
• Operate or coordinate heavy equipment as required by project needs
• Train crew members and develop their skills in proper techniques and safety practices
• Identify challenges in the field and implement effective solutions

What We're Looking For

• Proven foreman or crew lead experience in grading, excavation, or underground utility work
• Deep knowledge of civil construction methods and utility installation standards
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and technical specifications
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing field personnel
• Valid driver's license and readiness to work on multiple job sites
• Strong commitment to safety, quality work, and professional standards
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
