About the Role

As an Independent Freight Agent with RB Humphreys, you operate your own freight brokerage while enjoying the benefits of established licensing, operational infrastructure, and market relationships built over more than 60 years in specialized transportation. You'll identify shippers and carriers, negotiate rates, coordinate shipments, and grow your client base with the flexibility to focus on the freight sectors and service areas that match your business goals.

What You'll Do

• Build and manage a growing portfolio of freight customers and carrier relationships
• Source, quote, and book freight shipments across temperature-controlled and general freight markets
• Coordinate logistics, manage documentation, and ensure compliance with industry regulations
• Develop pricing strategies and negotiate contracts that create sustainable profit margins
• Provide customer service, resolve shipping issues, and build long-term partnerships
• Track market rates, adjust to competitive conditions, and identify high-opportunity freight lanes

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in freight brokerage, transportation, or logistics sales
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
