About the Role
This New Graduate Sonographer position is a PRN (as-needed) opportunity designed for recent program graduates who are ready to apply their training in a hands-on clinical setting. Working alongside an experienced imaging team at Platte Valley Hospital, you will build confidence and sharpen your scanning skills while delivering high-quality ultrasound exams to the patients we serve. The advertised pay range is $32.02–$49.44 per hour, varying according to your certification, licensure, and prior experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations following established protocols and physician orders.
- Capture clear, technically accurate images to support timely and reliable diagnoses.
- Prioritize patient comfort, safety, and clear communication throughout each exam.
- Partner with sonographers, radiologists, and the broader imaging team to coordinate care.
- Maintain accurate documentation and uphold quality and compliance standards.
- Provide flexible, as-needed coverage to support departmental scheduling needs.
Qualifications
- Recent graduate of an accredited diagnostic medical sonography program.
- Registration or registry-eligible status appropriate to the role (certification and licensure influence placement on the pay scale).
- Solid foundational knowledge of sonographic anatomy, technique, and imaging protocols.
- Strong attention to detail, dependability, and a genuine commitment to patient-centered care.
- Willingness to learn and grow within a supportive, team-oriented environment.
