About the Role
We're recruiting experienced CDL-A truck drivers to operate our tanker fleet on regional routes. What You'll Do
- Safely operate tanker vehicles on regional delivery routes throughout the Detroit area
- Manage cargo loading, securing, and unloading operations according to DOT standards
- Complete mandatory logbooks and perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Coordinate with dispatchers and customers to ensure on-time, professional service
- Maintain the highest standards of safety compliance and vehicle maintenance
What We're Looking For
- Active CDL-A license with current tanker endorsement
- Experience operating vehicles with manual transmission
- Clean driving history and ability to obtain DOT medical certification
- Professional communication and reliability in all situations
- Dedication to safety and regulatory compliance
Compensation and Benefits
Competitive pay is based on your experience. Solo drivers earn an average of $1,800 weekly, with top-performing drivers earning $2,000 weekly. Mileage-based compensation is offered at $0.62 per mile. All full-time drivers enjoy weekly home time and receive a $4,000 sign-on bonus to get started with Ryder.
