About the Role
We're looking for professional tanker drivers ready to operate in a fast-paced logistics environment. You'll be part of Ryder's dedicated fleet, handling specialized cargo transport across regional routes designed to get you home on a regular schedule.
What You'll Do
- Operate a tanker vehicle safely and efficiently across assigned regional routes
- Complete pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintenance documentation
- Manage loading and unloading procedures following all safety protocols
- Maintain accurate logs and delivery records
- Communicate with dispatch and coordinate timing with terminals
- Uphold DOT regulations and Ryder's safety standards on every run
What We're Looking For
- Valid Class A CDL with tanker endorsement required at time of hire
- Proven manual transmission driving experience
- Clean driving record and ability to pass background checks
- Reliable, professional approach to safety and on-time delivery
- Strong communication skills and responsiveness to dispatch
- Commitment to maintaining vehicle condition and following compliance requirements
Pay & Benefits
We offer competitive compensation with earning potential averaging $1,800 per week, with top performers reaching $2,000 weekly. Solo drivers earn $0.62 per mile on standard miles with typical weekly mileage around 1,800 miles, plus $50 per stop. New hires receive a $4,000 sign-on bonus. You'll maintain a weekly home schedule, allowing you to spend time with family and manage your personal life.
