About the Role
Join the surgical oncology team and provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to patients undergoing cancer-related surgical procedures. As a Part Time RN, you'll work 48 hours per pay period in a dynamic inpatient setting at the Anschutz Inpatient Pavilion. This position offers day and night shift rotation opportunities, with our Night Shift Incentive Program available for evening and overnight assignments to nurses seeking higher compensation.
What You'll Do
- Deliver direct patient care and monitoring in the surgical oncology unit
- Assess and document patient health status and clinical responses to treatment
- Prepare patients for surgical procedures and provide postoperative care
- Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records and nursing documentation
- Communicate patient updates and care plans with the care team and family members
- Monitor vital signs and report changes in patient condition
What We're Looking For
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado
- Current CPR certification
- Experience in surgical nursing, oncology, or acute care settings preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to work day and night rotation shifts in an onsite environment
