About the Role
As a Wireless Communication Systems Engineer at Silvus Technologies, you'll work on advanced network architecture, signal processing, and system integration for mission-critical wireless platforms. You'll collaborate with hardware and software engineers to develop robust communications solutions that operate reliably in challenging field environments where network availability is non-negotiable.
What You'll Do
- Design and optimize wireless communication systems, including MANET (mobile ad hoc network) and MIMO (multiple-input multiple-output) architectures
- Develop and validate network protocols and waveforms for defense and public safety applications
- Conduct system-level testing, performance analysis, and troubleshooting of communication platforms
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate hardware components, RF subsystems, and software modules
- Document technical specifications, test procedures, and engineering analyses
- Participate in field trials and customer deployments to validate system performance
- Contribute to architecture reviews and technical design decisions
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong understanding of wireless communication theory, RF systems, and network protocols
- Experience with MANET, mesh networking, or tactical communications systems
- Proficiency in system simulation and analysis tools
- Solid grasp of signal processing and modulation techniques
- Problem-solving mindset and ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Security clearance eligibility preferred
