Early Childhood Education Teacher

Poteau Independent School District 29 is seeking a dedicated Early Childhood Education Teacher to join our team in Poteau, Le Flore County, Oklahoma. As a full-time educator, you'll create foundational learning experiences for young students while guiding them toward academic achievement and healthy development.

What You'll Do

• Develop and deliver classroom learning experiences that align with Oklahoma Academic Standards
• Build supportive, positive relationships with students to foster their academic and personal growth
• Design age-appropriate activities that support cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development
• Monitor student progress and adjust teaching to address individual learning needs
• Engage with families through regular communication about student development and classroom experiences
• Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom community
• Partner with colleagues to advance our early childhood education program

What We're Looking For

• Oklahoma State Department of Education certification in Early Childhood Education
• Knowledge of child development principles and evidence-based teaching practices
• Demonstrated ability to connect with and motivate young learners
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Creativity, flexibility, and adaptability in responding to student needs
• Commitment to equity and creating an inclusive learning environment for every child
