Registered Nurse – Oncology (5500) Nights

Mercy in Fort Smith, Sebastian County is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse for a full-time position on our oncology night shift team. If you're dedicated to providing excellent patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment, we want to hear from you.

About the Role

As a Registered Nurse - Oncology on our nights shift, you'll deliver direct patient care to individuals undergoing cancer treatment and recovery. Working with our dynamic Med Surg Service Line across eight specialty units, you'll have the chance to deepen your oncology expertise while contributing to meaningful patient outcomes during evening and overnight hours.

What You'll Do

• Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and assess patient condition throughout your shift
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to implement individualized care plans for oncology patients
• Provide compassionate support to patients and families navigating cancer care
• Document patient progress and communicate clinical updates to the incoming day shift
• Respond promptly to patient needs and escalate concerns appropriately
• Participate in continuing education to stay current with oncology best practices

What We're Looking For

• Current RN license in good standing
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a night shift setting
• Excellent communication and compassion in patient interactions
• Experience in oncology nursing or medical-surgical nursing preferred
• Flexibility and commitment to quality patient care
