Operations SME – Langley AFB, VA

Serco is recruiting an Operations Subject Matter Expert (Operations SME) to support Air Combat Command's Combat Air Forces Distributed Training Center (CAF DTC) at Langley Air Force Base in Virginia. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to shape the training and readiness of combat aviation units globally.

About the Role

As an Operations SME, you'll be instrumental in designing and delivering world-class training that prepares combat units for modern threats. Working within the CAF DTC's advanced virtual training environment, you'll mentor pilots and weapons officers, facilitate complex large-force training scenarios, and develop integrated training solutions that translate to real-world readiness.

What You'll Do

• Lead integration training programs in both large-force and small-team environments for combat units around the globe
• Develop and execute realistic training scenarios featuring cutting-edge threat modeling in virtual airspace
• Mentor and instruct combat aviation professionals, leveraging your operational background to enhance their tactical proficiency
• Collaborate with squadrons and wings to tailor training solutions to their mission requirements
• Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement of training methodologies

What We're Looking For

• Former Fighter Pilot, Weapons System Officer (WSO), Combat Systems Officer (CSO), or Naval Flight Officer (NFO) with significant operational experience
• Deep expertise in air combat operations, tactics, and weapons employment
• Demonstrated ability to teach, mentor, and communicate complex concepts clearly
• Commitment to excellence and a passion for building the next generation of combat-ready aircrews
• Ability to work collaboratively within a professional military training environment
