Senior Logistics Management Specialist (Supply)

Serco is seeking a Senior Logistics Management Specialist (Supply) to join our operations team in Springfield, Sangamon County. In this role, you'll manage critical supply chain operations for the Global Logistics Augmentation and Support Services (GLASS) program, directly supporting Army Sustainment Command at Rock Island Arsenal.

About the Role

This is a full-time position focused on overseeing supply chain activities, inventory control, and logistics coordination for a high-impact defense support mission. You'll take ownership of supply management functions that directly enable operational readiness across Army installations.

What You'll Do

• Oversee supply planning, procurement, and inventory management to meet operational requirements
• Coordinate with Army Sustainment Command stakeholders to forecast supply needs and optimize distribution
• Manage vendor relationships and supplier performance to ensure timely delivery and quality standards
• Maintain accurate supply documentation, records, and compliance reporting
• Analyze logistics data and supply metrics to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements
• Supervise supply chain team members and provide technical guidance on processes and systems
• Ensure adherence to Army regulations, security protocols, and federal compliance requirements
• Support inventory cycle counts, audits, and physical asset management activities

What We're Looking For

Experience & Skills:

• 5+ years in supply chain management, logistics operations, or military supply roles
• Proficiency with supply chain management systems and logistics software
• Strong knowledge of inventory control, procurement processes, and distribution logistics
• Demonstrated leadership experience and ability to manage team priorities
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities
• Ability to communicate clearly across organizational levels

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business, or related field
• Eligibility to obtain or current possession of a Secret security clearance
• Willingness to work in Springfield, Sangamon County on a full-time basis
