Retail Sales – Part Time

Lowe's is hiring a Retail Sales - Part Time associate for its store in Warrensburg, Johnson County.

About the Role

This position focuses on delivering helpful, friendly service to shoppers tackling home‑improvement projects. You’ll work alongside a team that values honesty, respect, and a can‑do attitude while supporting the store’s daily operations.

What You'll Do

• Greet customers as they enter the sales floor and ask open‑ended questions to understand their needs.
• Provide accurate product information, suggest complementary items, and explain basic installation steps when appropriate.
• Maintain neat, well‑stocked displays by restocking shelves, arranging merchandise, and performing routine tidying.
• Process transactions at the register, handle returns or exchanges, and ensure the checkout area stays organized.
• Listen to customer feedback and relay useful insights to supervisors to improve the shopping experience.
• Follow all safety protocols, keep aisles clear of hazards, and report any maintenance concerns promptly.
• Participate in brief team huddles to learn about promotions, new arrivals, and store goals.
• Assist with inventory counts and support visual merchandising updates as directed.

What We're Looking For

• A genuine enjoyment of helping people and a knack for clear, courteous communication.
• Basic math skills for handling cash, making change, and processing payments accurately.
• Reliability and punctuality, with the flexibility to work varying shifts including evenings and weekends.
• Previous experience in retail, customer service, or a related field is helpful but not required.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderately sized boxes, and move comfortably around the sales floor.
• A positive attitude, teamwork mindset, and willingness to learn about home‑improvement products.
• Authorization to work in the United States and compliance with Lowe’s hiring requirements.
