About the Role

As a Buyer II, you will work within a dedicated supply chain team that ensures the timely acquisition of goods and services essential to mission success. This full‑time position reports to a senior purchasing lead and collaborates with engineers, project managers, and vendors to maintain cost‑effective, compliant sourcing practices.

What You'll Do

• Create, review, and process purchase orders in accordance with federal acquisition regulations and company policies.
• Source and evaluate suppliers, negotiate pricing and terms, and maintain approved vendor lists.
• Monitor order status, track deliveries, and resolve discrepancies to keep projects on schedule.
• Analyze market trends and cost data to recommend cost‑saving initiatives without compromising quality or safety.
• Maintain accurate records in the enterprise resource planning system and prepare regular procurement reports for stakeholders.
• Support contract administration by verifying compliance with contractual obligations and assisting with audit preparations.

What We're Looking For

• Minimum of two years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain functions, preferably within defense, aerospace, or government contracting environments.
• Solid understanding of FAR/DFARS clauses and basic contract law principles.
• Proficiency with ERP platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office, especially Excel for data analysis.
• Strong negotiation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced setting.
• Excellent communication abilities for interacting with internal teams and external suppliers.
• Ability to obtain and maintain any required security clearance for the position.
