About the Role

As a Local Contract Mother-Baby RN with Medical Solutions, you will support new mothers and their newborns during the critical postpartum period at a Cambridge, Massachusetts facility. This is a full-time, 13-week local contract position covering 36 hours per week across 12-hour day and night shifts, giving you flexibility while delivering compassionate, family-centered care close to home.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care to postpartum patients and healthy newborns following delivery.
• Monitor maternal recovery, assess vital signs, and identify any complications promptly.
• Educate and coach new parents on infant feeding, newborn care, and recovery at home.
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and unit protocols.
• Document patient progress accurately and collaborate with the multidisciplinary care team.
• Work rotating 12-hour day and night shifts to maintain continuity of care throughout the contract.

Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered RN license valid in Massachusetts.
• Demonstrated experience in Mother-Baby, Postpartum, or related maternal-newborn nursing.
• Availability for a 13-week local contract at 36 hours per week, including day and night rotations.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and a genuine commitment to patient and family well-being.
• Willingness to commute to the North Cambridge, Middlesex County area (this role is on-site, not remote).
