Contracting Support – Advanced (Team Lead) with Security Clearance

People, Technology and Processes LLC is seeking a Contracting Support - Advanced (Team Lead) with Security Clearance to join its team in Fort Monroe, Hampton City. This full‑time role requires an active Secret clearance (eligible for TS/SCI) and supports contracting operations at Joint Base Langley‑Eustis.

About the Role

As the lead contracting authority, you will direct a team responsible for the full lifecycle of ACASS contracts, making sure all work aligns with federal standards, quality expectations, and performance goals.

What You'll Do

• Oversee the preparation, negotiation, and award of contracts in accordance with FAR and DFARS.
• Monitor contract performance, track deliverables, and implement corrective actions when needed.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for government stakeholders and internal partners.
• Conduct regular audits to verify compliance with security, procurement, and reporting requirements.
• Mentor and train junior contracting specialists, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Develop and maintain detailed contract files, documentation, and status reports.
• Coordinate with finance and logistics teams to ensure timely invoicing and payment processing.
• Participate in strategic planning sessions to align contracting initiatives with mission objectives.

What We're Looking For

• Must hold an active Secret clearance, with eligibility for TS/SCI.
• Proven experience leading contracting teams in a defense or federal environment.
• Thorough knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS).
• Strong contract lifecycle management skills, from requirements definition through closeout.
• Excellent communication abilities for interacting with government officials, vendors, and internal staff.
• Analytical mindset with proficiency in data tracking and performance reporting.
• Ability to mentor staff and drive process improvements.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, acquisition, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
