What You'll Do

• Assess nutritional needs of patients with heart and lung disorders, including those undergoing surgery, ventilation, or chronic disease management.
• Create individualized meal plans and educate patients and families on heart‑healthy and lung‑supportive dietary choices.
• Monitor patient progress, adjust nutrition interventions, and document outcomes in the electronic health record.
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and contribute to quality‑improvement initiatives related to cardiac and pulmonary care.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, accreditation standards, and state regulations governing dietetic practice.
• Support staff training and serve as a resource for nutrition‑related questions within the cardiopulmonary units.

What We're Looking For

• Current Registered Dietitian (RD) license or eligibility to obtain licensure in California.
• Minimum of one to two years of clinical dietetic experience, preferably in cardiology, pulmonology, or critical care settings.
• Strong knowledge of therapeutic diets for conditions such as heart failure, COPD, hypertension, and post‑operative care.
• Excellent communication skills for educating diverse patient populations and collaborating with healthcare teams.
• Proficiency with nutrition‑focused software and electronic medical record systems.
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team‑oriented environment.
