Patient Services Rep – Urgent Care

Proliance Surgeons is seeking a Patient Services Rep - Urgent Care to join their team in Tukwila, King County, where you’ll be the first point of contact for patients seeking urgent medical attention.

About the Role

As a Patient Services Rep - Urgent Care, you will support smooth clinic operations by managing patient intake, scheduling, and administrative tasks that keep the urgent care flow efficient and welcoming.

What You'll Do

• Greet patients and visitors with a courteous, professional demeanor upon arrival
• Check patients in, verify personal and insurance information, and collect any required co‑pays
• Schedule new appointments and follow‑up visits using the clinic’s electronic health record system
• Answer incoming phone calls, directing inquiries to the appropriate clinical or administrative staff
• Maintain accurate patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA guidelines
• Coordinate with physicians, nurses, and medical assistants to optimize patient flow and reduce wait times
• Assist with basic clerical duties such as filing, faxing, and preparing discharge paperwork
• Handle patient concerns or complaints calmly, escalating issues when necessary

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in medical office administration is a plus
• Previous experience in a front‑desk, patient services, or medical office setting, preferably in urgent care or ambulatory care
• Solid understanding of medical terminology and basic insurance verification processes
• Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) platforms and standard office software
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on customer service
• Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
