Join Collaborative For Children as a Bilingual Senior Early Childhood Specialist based in Woodside, Houston. This full-time position offers an opportunity to drive instructional excellence and leadership across our network of early learning centers serving the Houston community.
About the Role
As a Bilingual Senior Early Childhood Specialist, you will lead professional development and instructional coaching initiatives within our Centers of Excellence program. Working directly with early learning center directors and teaching teams throughout the Houston area, you'll foster evidence-based practices that support children's cognitive, social, and emotional development during their most critical developmental years.
What You'll Do
- Coach and mentor early childhood educators on instructional best practices, classroom management, and bilingual education strategies
- Conduct classroom observations and provide constructive, actionable feedback to strengthen teaching quality
- Design and deliver professional development workshops and training sessions for early learning center staff
- Support implementation of developmentally appropriate curricula and culturally responsive teaching approaches
- Partner with center leadership to assess program quality and develop improvement action plans
- Travel to multiple early learning centers throughout greater Houston on weekdays to deliver on-site coaching and support
What We're Looking For
- Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish, demonstrated both verbally and in writing
- Substantial background in early childhood education, child development, or related field
- Demonstrated experience providing coaching, mentoring, or professional development in early learning environments
- Deep knowledge of bilingual education principles and culturally sustaining pedagogies
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills with diverse teams and stakeholders
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for frequent center visits
