About the Role
As Maintenance Technician II, you'll take the lead on maintaining and repairing essential systems and structures across our residential properties. This is a full-time position based in Jennings, working Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm. You'll work directly with residents and management to address maintenance needs promptly and professionally.
What You'll Do
- Perform preventive maintenance on building systems, appliances, HVAC equipment, and plumbing
- Respond to resident maintenance requests and troubleshoot mechanical and structural issues
- Execute routine repairs and perform minor renovations as assigned
- Document all work completed and maintain accurate maintenance records
- Inspect facilities regularly to identify potential problems before they escalate
- Collaborate with property management and contractors on larger projects
- Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to all safety protocols
What We're Looking For
- Experience as a Maintenance Technician, building maintenance worker, or similar hands-on maintenance role
- Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, or general carpentry
- Ability to troubleshoot problems and work independently or as part of a team
- Strong communication skills and a customer-service mindset
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Physical ability to lift, climb, and work in varied conditions
