Join Onward We Learn as Director of Advising and Impact, a full-time leadership role in Cranston, Providence County, Rhode Island. We're seeking an experienced director to lead our advising and impact initiatives, helping first-generation college students achieve academic and personal success.

About the Role

As Director of Advising and Impact, you will oversee our advising programs and impact measurement efforts, ensuring that every young person we serve receives the mentorship, guidance, and support they need to reach their college and career goals. You'll lead a dedicated team, shape program strategy, and drive evidence-based decision-making across our organization.

What You'll Do

• Direct the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of advising and coaching services for students across Rhode Island
• Build and mentor a team of advisors and program staff, fostering a culture of excellence and student-centered practice
• Develop and execute strategies to measure program impact and student outcomes, using data to inform organizational decisions
• Collaborate with leadership to align advising initiatives with organizational goals and expand reach to first-generation students
• Establish best practices, policies, and protocols that ensure consistent, high-quality student support
• Engage with schools, colleges, families, and community partners to strengthen our collective impact

What We're Looking For

• Proven leadership experience managing advising, coaching, student services, or similar programs
• Demonstrated expertise in student development, college access, or first-generation student success
• Strong capability in program evaluation, data analysis, and outcomes measurement
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across diverse stakeholders
• Strategic thinking and ability to translate vision into actionable plans
• Commitment to equity in education and serving underrepresented populations
