About the Role

As Assistant to General Counsel, you'll work alongside senior legal leadership to manage administrative, operational, and procedural aspects of the legal department. This role bridges law and business, supporting high-level strategic initiatives while handling the day-to-day legal operations that keep the organization moving.

What You'll Do

• Assist the General Counsel with legal documentation, contract management, and compliance matters
• Prepare and organize legal files, maintain case records, and ensure proper document retention
• Coordinate with external counsel, regulatory agencies, and internal departments on legal issues
• Support underwriting, title, and settlement operations from a legal and compliance perspective
• Monitor regulatory changes affecting title services, real estate transactions, and vendor management
• Prepare memoranda, summaries, and briefing materials on legal and operational matters
• Track deadlines, maintain legal calendars, and ensure timely filings and responses

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in law, business administration, or related field (J.D. preferred but not required)
• Paralegal certification or equivalent professional legal experience
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proficiency with legal research tools and standard office technology
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Understanding of real estate, title, or settlement industry preferred
• Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
