Huron-Clinton Metroparks is hiring Seasonal Park Maintenance Workers for our Milford location in Oakland County. This is an excellent opportunity to work outdoors maintaining beautiful regional parks and recreation areas while enjoying flexible seasonal employment.

About the Role

As a Seasonal Park Maintenance Worker at Huron-Clinton Metroparks, you'll help keep our parks clean, safe, and enjoyable for thousands of visitors each season. This part-time seasonal position offers up to 600 hours of work annually (approximately 120 days per season), making it ideal for those seeking seasonal work in the Milford and Oakland County area.

What You'll Do

  • Maintain park grounds including mowing, landscaping, and seasonal beautification
  • Perform trail maintenance and facility upkeep throughout Huron-Clinton parks
  • Clean and maintain park facilities, restrooms, and recreational areas
  • Operate and maintain grounds equipment safely and effectively
  • Respond to maintenance requests and seasonal park needs
  • Follow established safety protocols and park maintenance standards

What We're Looking For

  • Ability to perform physical labor outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Basic equipment operation and maintenance skills
  • Reliable transportation to job sites in Milford and surrounding park locations
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to maintaining park quality and visitor experience
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with team members
  • Willingness to follow safety guidelines and established park protocols

Compensation

This part-time seasonal position offers $14.52 per hour. Eligible part-time employees receive up to a $5.75 per hour retention bonus for hours worked from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Eligible seasonal employees also receive a $0.60 per hour seasonal bonus for all hours worked.
