Rural King is hiring an Outside Recovery Associate to join our team in Decatur, Illinois. This is a part-time position focused on managing outdoor inventory recovery and logistics operations.
About the Role
As an Outside Recovery Associate at Rural King, you'll play a key role in our outdoor operations by coordinating the collection, organization, and processing of returned items and merchandise. You'll work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment where your attention to detail and reliability directly impact our customers and operations.
What You'll Do
- Collect and recover returned merchandise from customer locations and manage incoming outdoor inventory
- Sort, inspect, and organize recovered items according to company standards
- Document and track recovered merchandise using store systems and logs
- Prepare items for restocking, donation, or disposal as determined by management
- Maintain vehicle and equipment in safe, working condition
- Communicate with customers and staff regarding pickup schedules and item status
- Follow all company policies, safety protocols, and compliance procedures
What We're Looking For
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Reliable transportation and ability to work independently in the field
- Physical capability to lift, carry, and handle merchandise regularly
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Customer service mindset and professional demeanor
