Security Officer – Security -PER DIEM VARIED SHIFTS Elmer

Inspira Health is seeking a full-time Security Officer to maintain a safe and secure environment at our Elmer, Salem County facility. In this essential role, you'll provide protection and peace of mind to our patients, employees, and visitors through proactive security practices and responsive incident management.

About the Role

As a Security Officer with Inspira Health's Elmer campus, you'll work varied shifts to ensure 24/7 facility safety and security. This is hands-on work that requires attentiveness, professionalism, and genuine compassion—you'll interact with patients and staff who may be anxious or in crisis, and your calm, supportive presence will make a real difference. You'll balance protective vigilance with the welcoming atmosphere our healthcare mission demands.

What You'll Do

• Perform routine and targeted security patrols throughout the facility
• Respond to security incidents, alarms, and emergency situations with sound judgment
• Monitor entrances, exits, and access-controlled areas to protect patients and property
• De-escalate conflicts and provide reassurance to patients and visitors in distress
• Document incidents, security concerns, and observations in detailed reports
• Communicate and coordinate with healthcare staff, management, and emergency services
• Maintain the facility's secure perimeter while supporting a healing environment

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or GED
• Current security officer certification or demonstrated ability to obtain one
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, especially with vulnerable populations
• Physical capability to patrol, stand for extended periods, and respond to emergencies
• Reliability and ability to commit to varied shift schedules
• Ability to remain calm, observant, and professional under pressure
• Valid driver's license preferred
