About the Role
As a mobile veterinarian, you'll deliver professional, dignified care directly to pets throughout Inverness, Spring Hill, Hernando, Masaryktown, Istachatta, Brooksville, and surrounding Hernando County communities. This family-owned practice specializes in hospice services, in-home euthanasia, and respectful aftercare, allowing you to focus entirely on patient comfort and supporting families through life's most difficult transitions.
What You'll Do
- Conduct in-home veterinary assessments and end-of-life consultations
- Provide compassionate in-home euthanasia services with full attention to the pet-family relationship
- Develop and manage personalized hospice care plans
- Offer aftercare guidance and coordinate respectful memorial options
- Build meaningful relationships with pet families during vulnerable times
- Maintain comprehensive medical records and ensure clear, empathetic communication
- Travel throughout your service area to provide accessible, convenient veterinary care
What We're Looking For
- Active veterinary license in good standing in Florida
- Experience or demonstrated passion for hospice and end-of-life veterinary care
- Compassion, patience, and emotional intelligence when supporting grieving families
- Ability to work independently within diverse home environments
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel throughout Hernando County
- Excellent communication skills and meticulous attention to clinical documentation
