Driver – NorthStar Clean Energy

Consumers Energy is seeking a Driver for NorthStar Clean Energy in Flint, Genesee County. As part of our clean energy division, you'll help support carbon management and sustainability solutions for utility, municipal, commercial, and industrial customers.

About the Role

This full-time Driver position with NorthStar Clean Energy is central to our operations in the Flint area. You'll be responsible for safe, timely delivery of services and materials that enable our customers to meet their sustainability and business goals. Your work directly supports the clean energy transition across the region.

What You'll Do

• Operate company vehicles safely and efficiently, following all traffic laws and company safety protocols
• Plan and execute delivery routes to meet customer commitments and operational deadlines
• Load, secure, and transport materials and equipment in full compliance with safety and weight regulations
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting maintenance issues immediately
• Maintain professional communication and service standards with customers and internal teams
• Document deliveries, routes, and vehicle operations with accuracy and attention to detail
• Comply with all company policies, safety procedures, and applicable transportation regulations

What We're Looking For

• Valid driver's license appropriate for required vehicle types and a clean driving record
• Proven professional driving experience with a strong safety record
• Dependability, punctuality, and a committed work ethic
• Ability to work independently while following detailed instructions
• Physical capability to perform loading, equipment handling, and related duties
• Strong customer service and communication abilities
• Commitment to safety compliance and DOT regulations
