Driver Recruiter

Kenan Advantage Group is seeking a Driver Recruiter to join their team in Cleveland, Cuyahoga County.

About the Role

This is an on‑site position based at the company’s North Canton, Ohio office, with relocation assistance available for qualified candidates. The role reports to the recruiting leadership team and supports the ongoing staffing needs of Kenan Advantage Group’s transportation division.

What You'll Do

• Source and attract qualified CDL‑A and CDL‑B driver candidates through job boards, social media, networking events, and employee referral programs.
• Screen resumes, conduct preliminary phone interviews, and assess candidates’ qualifications, driving records, and safety histories.
• Coordinate and schedule in‑person interviews with hiring managers, ensuring a timely and positive candidate experience.
• Maintain accurate records in the applicant tracking system, compliance documentation, and recruitment metrics.
• Partner with operations and safety teams to understand staffing forecasts and specific driver requirements for various routes.
• Assist with onboarding activities, including background checks, drug testing, and orientation scheduling.
• Stay current with industry trends, licensing regulations, and best practices for driver recruitment.

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience recruiting commercial drivers or in a high‑volume talent acquisition environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with diverse candidate pools.
• Familiarity with DOT regulations, CDL requirements, and safety compliance standards.
• Proficiency with applicant tracking systems, HRIS platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent organizational abilities, attention to detail, and a commitment to meeting hiring timelines.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced, on‑site setting.
