About the Role
This New Graduate Registered Nurse (RN) position is based at Select Medical's Critical Illness Recovery Hospital, located on the 6th floor of Bronson Battle Creek Hospital in Battle Creek, Michigan. It is a full-time, night shift opportunity with scheduled hours from 7:00 pm to 7:30 am, ideal for newly licensed nurses ready to launch their careers caring for medically complex patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver direct, compassionate nursing care to patients recovering from serious and critical illnesses.
- Monitor patient conditions throughout the overnight shift and respond promptly to changes in status.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely according to physician orders.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the interdisciplinary care team to support recovery goals.
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress thoroughly and accurately.
Qualifications
- Current or eligible Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of Michigan.
- Recent nursing graduate prepared to begin practice in an acute care setting.
- Availability to work the full-time night shift (7:00 pm – 7:30 am), including weekends as scheduled.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to patient-centered care.
Compensation
- Pay starting at $38.64 per hour.
- Shift differentials of $3.00 for nights and $3.00 for weekends.
- $15,000 sign-on bonus.
