General Superintendent (New England Region)

Burns & McDonnell is seeking a results-driven General Superintendent (New England Region) to lead field operations from our Morristown, Morris County office. This full-time, on-site position puts you at the center of every construction discipline, coordinating crews to deliver projects safely, on schedule, and to specification.

About the Role

As General Superintendent for Burns & McDonnell in Morristown, Morris County, you will own the daily administrative and construction activities that keep field work moving. You will serve as the on-site leader who unifies the various project discipline superintendents and holds each accountable for contractual delivery across the New England Region.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day on-site administration and construction processes for all field-related activities.
• Oversee and coordinate the project discipline superintendents, including electrical, mechanical, civil, instrumentation and controls, and general construction.
• Hold each discipline accountable for the contractual completion of its scope of work.
• Champion overall project safety, setting the standard for a secure and compliant job site.
• Align field execution with project schedules, quality requirements, and client expectations.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience superintending large-scale construction projects across multiple disciplines.
• Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, civil, and instrumentation and controls scopes of work.
• Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to manage and motivate discipline superintendents and field crews.
• A safety-first mindset and the ability to drive project safety performance on-site.
• Willingness to work full-time, on-site in Morristown, Morris County, supporting the New England Region.
