Project Manager – Power (Multiple Locations)

Burns & McDonnell is seeking an experienced Project Manager - Power to lead energy storage initiatives from our Wellston location in Saint Louis County, guiding complex projects from early concept through successful startup.

About the Role

As a Project Manager - Power at Burns & McDonnell in Wellston, Saint Louis County, you will oversee energy storage projects across multiple phases, working alongside one of the few firms in the United States offering a fully integrated, turnkey approach to storage solutions. This full-time, on-site position places you at the center of project conception, siting, permitting, design, construction, and commissioning for a wide range of storage technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct power and energy storage projects from initial siting and permitting through turnkey design, construction, and final startup.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver integrated storage solutions that align with client objectives.
• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and quality across each phase of delivery.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring expectations are met from concept to commissioning.
• Apply technical expertise across diverse storage technologies to support successful project outcomes.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing power, energy, or infrastructure projects, ideally within the energy storage sector.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide multidisciplinary teams through design and construction.
• Familiarity with project siting, permitting, and turnkey delivery processes.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities to keep projects on track and stakeholders informed.
• Willingness to support assignments across multiple locations as project needs require.
