The successful candidate will operate with a high degree of autonomy, handling all facets of workers compensation indemnity claims within established authority levels and regulatory guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently oversee workers compensation indemnity claims from initial intake through final resolution
- Make timely, well-documented coverage and compensability decisions within delegated authority
- Coordinate with medical providers, legal counsel, and claimants to advance claim outcomes
- Ensure compliance with applicable state workers compensation statutes and internal best practices
- Maintain accurate claim records and provide clear reporting throughout the claims process
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience managing workers compensation claims at a senior or examiner level
- Strong working knowledge of indemnity claims handling procedures and state regulatory requirements
- Ability to work with minimal supervision while managing a complex, multi-stage claims workload
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interaction with claimants, vendors, and legal professionals
- New York workers compensation experience aligned to the role title is strongly preferred
