PT Direct Support Professional

Futures Community Support Services is hiring a PT Direct Support Professional in Athens, Bradford County, to help individuals with disabilities live fuller, more independent lives within a supportive group home setting.

About the Role

As a part-time Direct Support Professional with Futures Community Support Services, you'll provide hands-on care and companionship to residents in our Athens, Bradford County group home. This is a substitute position, meaning hours, shifts, and locations may vary week to week and typically total fewer than 30 hours per week. The current schedule covers Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. The role reports directly to the Program Manager and is classified as non-exempt.

Key Responsibilities

• Support residents with daily living activities, personal care, and routines that promote independence and dignity
• Foster a safe, respectful, and encouraging home environment for everyone in the group home
• Assist individuals in participating in community and recreational activities
• Document care, observations, and progress accurately as directed by the Program Manager
• Respond calmly and appropriately to each resident's needs throughout the shift
• Remain flexible with assignments, as hours and locations may change from week to week

Qualifications

• Genuine compassion for and patience with individuals who have disabilities
• Reliability and dependability, especially for scheduled Wednesday and Saturday shifts
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Comfort assisting with personal care and daily living tasks
• Willingness to adapt to a substitute schedule with variable hours and locations
