About the Role

As a Wellness Associate II at Geisinger, you'll play a vital role in developing and delivering comprehensive wellness programs across our service area in Lackawanna and Luzerne Counties. You'll collaborate with the wellness team and partner organizations to expand access to health education, preventive screening services, and evidence-based community wellness initiatives. This position offers the opportunity to make a direct impact on population health outcomes while working with a leading healthcare system dedicated to serving northeastern Pennsylvania.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Facilitate and lead evidence-based wellness programs and health education classes for diverse community and facility-based populations
• Conduct health screening services and assessments to support prevention and early intervention efforts
• Design and lead fitness classes and physical activity programs tailored to specific community health needs
• Develop, implement, and evaluate wellness program initiatives in partnership with community stakeholders and facilities
• Support population health management efforts at designated community sites and partner facilities
• Collaborate with the wellness team to identify health disparities and design targeted health promotion interventions
• Provide education and guidance on wellness topics, preventive health measures, and healthy lifestyle choices

Qualifications

• Education and professional experience in wellness, health promotion, fitness, nursing, or a related healthcare field
• Knowledge of evidence-based health promotion strategies and community wellness program delivery
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to engage diverse populations
• Ability to develop, organize, and facilitate group educational programs and wellness initiatives
• Experience in or understanding of population health management and community health assessment
• Commitment to health equity and supporting healthier, more resilient communities
