Role Overview
This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic Charity and Housing Association. As a Waking Night Support Worker at The Society of St James (SSJ), you will play a crucial role in providing support to individuals staying at our night shelter. You will be working 42 hours per week on a rota basis of 4 on and 4 off, with a salary point of 20 (£29,453 per annum for 42 hours per week).
Key Responsibilities
- Provide support to individuals staying at the night shelter during waking nights.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of residents by addressing any concerns or emergencies promptly.
- Assist with daily activities, including meal preparation, cleaning, and maintaining a clean environment.
- Support residents in accessing services and resources available to them.
Skills & Qualifications
- A compassionate and empathetic approach towards supporting individuals in crisis.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Basic knowledge of first aid, or willingness to learn.
- Experience working with vulnerable adults is desirable but not essential.
