VP & Co-Head of Investments

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential real estate investment platform in their search for a VP & Co-Head of Investments. This is a unique opportunity to co-lead investment strategy and execution for a rapidly growing portfolio exceeding $400M in assets under management across equity and credit products. You'll manage a talented investments team and design innovative products that democratize access to institutional-quality real estate investments.

Responsibilities

• Co-lead and optimize investment strategy across real estate equity, credit, and hybrid products
• Develop investment theses, portfolio construction frameworks, risk frameworks, and underwriting standards to achieve return targets
• Build high-quality sourcing channels through brokers, developers, institutions, and internal teams
• Oversee underwriting and investment committee processes with data-driven insights and consistent standards
• Construct diversified portfolios aligned with investor expectations and risk-return objectives
• Lead performance monitoring, asset optimization, value creation, refinancing, and disposition strategies
• Recruit, mentor, and scale a high-performing team across acquisitions, underwriting, research, and asset management
• Partner with product, finance, legal, and engineering teams to launch new investment offerings
• Maintain robust asset management models, performance tracking, and operational processes
• Serve as an external thought leader and contribute market insights to strengthen investor confidence

What We're Looking For

• 15+ years of real estate investment experience with exposure to both equity and credit strategies
• Proven track record in acquisitions, asset management, underwriting, and financial modeling
• Demonstrated success with portfolio construction at scale and structuring debt and equity investment products
• Deep understanding of risk/reward tradeoffs with a track record of positive performance
• Experience at an institutional real estate firm, private equity fund, REIT, real estate asset manager, or residential real estate credit fund
• Strong familiarity with real estate capital markets, lending, and financing structures
• Proven leadership experience building and scaling high-performing investment teams
• Exceptional communication skills capable of distilling complex financial concepts for diverse audiences
• Bias for action, comfort operating with ambiguity, and excitement for building in a fast-moving environment

Pay

Pay via Get A Job.ai: $200,000 – $250,000 per year
