Vocational Nursing Instructor- Part Time Evenings/Weekends

Unitek Learning is seeking a Part Time Vocational Nursing Instructor to lead evening and weekend courses at our San Jose, CA campus. In this role, you'll develop and deliver vocational nursing education that prepares students for successful careers as licensed vocational nurses in dynamic healthcare environments.

About This Position

This part-time teaching opportunity focuses on delivering high-quality vocational nursing education during flexible evening and weekend hours. You'll instruct adult learners pursuing their Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) credential, creating a supportive classroom environment that integrates evidence-based theory with practical clinical skills. Core Duties

• Design and deliver comprehensive vocational nursing curriculum aligned with California nursing standards and LVN licensure requirements
• Facilitate classroom lectures, clinical skills labs, and hands-on demonstrations using contemporary teaching methods
• Evaluate student performance through exams, practical assessments, projects, and classroom participation
• Mentor students individually to support their academic progress, clinical competency development, and professional success
• Maintain accurate, organized records of student grades, attendance, and learning outcomes
• Collaborate with instructional team members to maintain curriculum quality and program consistency
• Stay informed on current nursing practice standards and incorporate current healthcare trends into instruction

Qualifications

• Current, active California Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Strong understanding of vocational nursing practice scope, clinical standards, and competency expectations
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills suitable for adult learners in an academic environment
• Ability to organize complex material and deliver instruction in clear, engaging, and accessible formats
• Genuine commitment to student learning, educational quality, and healthcare profession advancement
• Availability and flexibility to teach during evening and weekend course schedules
• Bachelor's degree preferred; prior healthcare education or formal teaching experience valued
