Vocational Nursing Instructor- Full Time Days

Position Summary

As a Vocational Nursing Instructor in a full-time, daytime position, you will design and deliver engaging classroom and clinical instruction to students pursuing vocational nursing credentials. You'll combine your clinical expertise with educational excellence to prepare competent, compassionate nursing professionals ready to enter the healthcare field. This role offers the chance to make a direct impact on student success and patient care outcomes throughout your community.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver comprehensive nursing curriculum aligned with state and institutional standards
• Teach didactic courses covering foundational nursing science, pharmacology, patient care, and clinical procedures
• Supervise students in clinical settings, providing real-world mentorship and constructive feedback
• Assess student learning through exams, projects, clinical evaluations, and other assessment methods
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and progress toward program completion
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance program quality and support student retention
• Stay current with nursing practice standards and incorporate best practices into instruction

Requirements

• Current, valid Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
• Minimum two years of recent clinical nursing experience
• Demonstrated ability to communicate complex information clearly to diverse learners
• Strong organizational and classroom management skills
• Commitment to student success and professional development
• Willingness to pursue teaching credentials or certifications as required by the institution
