About the Role
This hands-on position centers on operating and maintaining vacuum induction melting equipment and casting systems. You'll melt, refine, and cast specialized metal alloys to exacting specifications, combining technical expertise with meticulous attention to detail in a manufacturing environment that prioritizes quality and safety.
What You'll Do
- Operate VIM equipment following established procedures and safety protocols
- Monitor melting temperatures, chemistry, and process parameters in real time
- Cast molten metal into molds and ingots to specification
- Conduct quality inspections and checks throughout each production cycle
- Maintain equipment and perform routine preventive maintenance
- Document production data and maintain detailed process records
- Collaborate with the production team to meet output and efficiency goals
What We're Looking For
- Hands-on experience operating VIM or similar induction melting equipment
- Working knowledge of metallurgy and metal casting processes
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
