Veterinary Assistant/Technician

iVET360 in Kimberling City, Stone County is hiring a full-time Veterinary Assistant/Technician to join our established small animal hospital and help deliver compassionate, quality care to the pets in our community.

Position Summary

As a Veterinary Assistant/Technician at iVET360, you'll work at our modern facility supporting our veterinary team in providing comprehensive medical services to small animal patients. This role is central to our clinic's daily operations, where you'll combine technical skills with genuine care for animals and their owners.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians during physical examinations, diagnostic procedures, and surgical interventions
• Prepare surgical instruments, equipment, and treatment areas using proper sterilization protocols
• Obtain and process radiographs, laboratory samples, and patient diagnostic materials
• Monitor anesthesia and vital signs during procedures and recovery
• Perform animal care including feeding, hydration, kenneling, and exercise
• Maintain detailed medical records and enter patient information into practice management systems
• Communicate with pet owners regarding treatments, post-operative instructions, and preventive care
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of clinical and surgical areas

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or GED
• Veterinary Technician certification or eligibility for certification, or willingness to pursue
• Strong knowledge of veterinary medical terminology and clinical protocols
• Physical ability to lift animals and equipment, stand for extended periods, and work in a fast-paced environment
• Compassion for animals and genuine commitment to their welfare
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Attention to detail and ability to follow safety and sterilization procedures
• Reliable attendance and professional demeanor
