UXO Technician III

Role Overview

As a UXO Technician III at Hydrogeologic, Inc, you'll work in a specialized field addressing unexploded ordnance and military munitions at contaminated sites. This part-time role may position you as a team leader, where you'll supervise technicians while also performing critical hands-on demilitarization work. You'll contribute directly to site remediation and environmental restoration efforts, ensuring safe and compliant management of hazardous materials.

Your Responsibilities

• Perform on-site demilitarization of munitions and explosives of concern (MEC)
• Conduct site assessments and surveys to identify unexploded ordnance
• Handle and manage demolitions materials according to strict safety protocols
• Supervise and mentor junior technicians when assigned as team leader
• Document work processes, findings, and compliance with regulatory standards
• Maintain equipment and ensure all safety procedures are followed

What We're Looking For

• Advanced technical knowledge of UXO identification, classification, and demilitarization procedures
