The Opportunity
American Traveler is actively recruiting a skilled Travel Outpatient Physical Therapist to provide evidence-based patient care in Pinehurst. This travel therapy role is ideal for licensed clinicians who thrive in diverse healthcare settings and seek professional flexibility. You'll deliver direct patient care over 40 hours per week on day shifts, working five 8-hour days, with an assignment duration of 13 weeks starting as soon as possible.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients with orthopedic, neurological, and musculoskeletal conditions and develop individualized treatment plans
- Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and functional training
- Monitor and document patient progress, functional improvements, and treatment outcomes in the clinical record
- Collaborate with physicians, occupational therapists, and clinic staff to optimize patient outcomes and care coordination
- Instruct patients on therapeutic exercises, body mechanics, and self-management strategies for ongoing recovery
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, state licensure requirements, and facility clinical protocols
Skills & Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted Physical Therapy license valid in the assignment state
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution
- Proven clinical experience in outpatient physical therapy settings
- Proficiency in patient assessment, treatment planning, and outcome measurement
- Strong interpersonal and patient education skills
- Adaptability and professional confidence working in varied clinic environments
- Current CPR/BLS certification
