Senior Principal Software Engineer, AI Onboarding

Saviynt is hiring a Senior Principal Software Engineer, AI Onboarding to join the founding team of its AI Security organization in Milpitas, California. Help build identity-first AI security that protects the world's leading enterprises as AI and autonomous agents reshape the digital perimeter.

About the Role

As a Senior Principal Software Engineer at Saviynt, you will architect end-to-end security solutions for our AI security product, working at the intersection of identity, cloud, and agentic AI. This is a full-time, on-site position in Milpitas, California, where you'll act as a technical leader shaping product direction, engineering standards, and the foundational technologies that secure AI at enterprise scale.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and ship complete workflows for Saviynt's AI security platform.
• Develop foundational solutions across agent ecosystems such as AWS Bedrock, Google AgentSpace, and Salesforce AgentForce using cloud, SaaS, and AI design patterns.
• Apply AI and agents to protect AI, leveraging CUA agents, large language models, and agentic frameworks including ADK and LangChain.
• Engineer secure, scalable, multi-tenant systems that operate seamlessly on AWS and Azure.
• Champion best practices, mentor peers, and drive improvements in tooling, processes, and operational reliability.
• Partner with cross-functional teams on architecture, deployment, refactoring, debugging, and documentation throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Stand up new programs from the ground up while maintaining existing services, and serve as a go-to technical expert following true agile principles.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Expert command of Java, the Spring Framework, REST, and microservices.
• Hands-on experience building security-focused applications on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) with containerization via Docker and Kubernetes.
• Deep grasp of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
• Practical experience with SQL, ElasticSearch, Redis, CI/CD, AWS Glue, and Kafka.
• Proven track record leading application development, solution architecture, delivery, and process improvement.
• Skilled in unit, functional, and system integration testing within Scrum and Kanban environments.
• Fluent with Git (GitHub/GitLab), continuous integration, IntelliJ or Eclipse, JUnit, and Maven/Ant.
• Curiosity about MCP, A2A, and agentic frameworks, plus experience with AI coding assistants such as Amazon Q, GitHub Copilot, and Cursor.
• Familiarity with event-driven, microservices, and serverless architectures and their trade-offs, paired with a continuous-learning mindset.
