Team Leader (Food Services)

Join Asda as a Team Leader in Food Services at our FS - 1496 Hellingly Greggs location. We're looking for an experienced leader to drive service excellence, build a high-performing team, and deliver outstanding results in our busy food services environment.

Role Overview

As Team Leader (Food Services), you'll lead a dedicated team to ensure consistent quality, food safety, and customer satisfaction across our food preparation and counter operations. This is a full-time position where you'll take ownership of your team's performance, mentor staff, and champion best practices that keep our customers coming back.

What You'll Do

• Lead, motivate, and develop your food services team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
• Oversee food preparation, presentation, and service standards to exceed customer expectations
• Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and food hygiene regulations
• Manage stock rotation, ordering, and waste reduction to optimise operational efficiency
• Monitor quality and portion control across all food items prepared
• Handle customer queries and complaints professionally, ensuring positive resolution
• Support rostering and cover planning to maintain consistent staffing levels

What We're Looking For

• Proven supervisory or team leadership experience in food services, retail, or hospitality
• Strong knowledge of food safety standards and HACCP principles
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and coach
• Experience managing stock, budgets, or operational metrics
• Ability to work flexibly, including early starts, late shifts, and weekends as required
• A commitment to outstanding customer service and attention to detail
• Relevant qualifications in food safety or management are valued
