About the Role

We are currently seeking a Support Worker to join our team in Lithgow and its surrounding areas. This is an exciting opportunity for both experienced care professionals and those new to the field. At Catholic Healthcare, we provide comprehensive support services that enhance the quality of life for individuals within their own homes or communities.

Your Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care needs including bathing, dressing, and mobility assistance
• Promote independence through daily living activities
• Support with medication management as directed by a healthcare professional
• Provide companionship and social interaction to improve overall well-being
• Ensure safety and comfort in the home or community setting
• Document all care provided accurately and maintain confidentiality of client information

Requirements

• Current Working with Children Check (WWCC) and National Police Check
• A valid Driver’s License, as travel to clients' homes may be required
• Experience in a care-related role is advantageous but not essential
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
• Compassion and empathy towards clients’ needs
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and public holidays (if applicable)

As a Support Worker with us, you will enjoy competitive hourly rates ranging from $34.50 to $48.75 per hour, along with superannuation and kilometre reimbursement at the rate of $1.11 per km. Our flexible working hours and days allow for a balanced lifestyle.
