About the Role
As a Substitute Paraprofessional on Call, you'll serve as a vital classroom support member for South Shore Charter Public School. This part-time position offers scheduling flexibility while allowing you to contribute meaningfully to student education and development. Working on an as-needed basis, you'll step in to provide continuity when our regular paraprofessionals are absent, ensuring students receive consistent support and supervision throughout the school day.
What You'll Do
- Assist classroom teachers with instructional activities and student engagement
- Supervise and monitor student behavior during classroom time and non-classroom settings
- Provide administrative support, such as preparing materials and maintaining records
- Help create and maintain a safe, organized learning environment
- Support individual or small-group student activities as directed by teachers
