About the Role
The Stewards VISTA: Western Slope Conservation Center - AmeriCorps position is a full-time, 365-day service term placing you with an established conservation organization dedicated to environmental stewardship across Western Colorado. You'll be based at the Western Slope Conservation Center's location at 204 Poplar Ave, Paonia, CO 81428, serving from September 8, 2026, through September 7, 2027.
What You'll Do
- Support conservation initiatives and environmental projects in Western Colorado
- Partner with community members and conservation professionals on field and community-based work
- Contribute to environmental education and community engagement activities
- Build hands-on expertise in conservation management and ecological stewardship
- Help strengthen local conservation efforts in Paonia and Delta County
