About the Role
The Library's Information Technology department is seeking an experienced manager to oversee technical operations, supervise IT personnel, and ensure reliable technology systems across all library locations. In this Associate Manager role, you'll combine strategic planning with hands-on technical expertise to modernize our technology environment and support staff in delivering world-class public services.
What You'll Do
- Lead and manage technology operations, infrastructure, and support systems serving library patrons and staff
- Supervise IT personnel, providing direction, training, and performance management
- Manage network systems, servers, databases, and related infrastructure for reliability and security
- Oversee technology planning, vendor relationships, and budget allocation for IT resources
- Ensure data security, system compliance, and adherence to regulatory requirements
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for technology use and support
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and mentor junior staff in problem-solving
- Support digital services, public computing resources, and public-facing library technology
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline (or equivalent professional experience)
- 3+ years of experience in IT management, systems administration, or technology operations
- Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, server environments, and systems management
- Proven supervisory or team leadership experience
- Excellent problem-solving skills and technical troubleshooting ability
- Customer service mindset and ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical users
- Commitment to supporting public services and community access to technology
Compensation & Benefits
Wage range: $31.34 – $47.01 per hour, based on experience. Comprehensive benefits package includes health, dental, and vision insurance; retirement plan with 401(k) match; paid sick and vacation time; life insurance; short-term disability; accident and critical illness coverage; parental and maternity leave.
