About the Role
This full-time stevedore position focuses on cargo handling operations at Wilmington's busy port facility. What You'll Do
- Load and unload cargo from vessels using proper stevedoring techniques and equipment
- Operate port machinery including cargo hooks, spreader bars, and rigging systems

- Follow OSHA and port safety regulations throughout all dock operations
- Inspect cargo for damage and report discrepancies to supervisors
- Coordinate with crew members and dock supervisors to maintain schedule adherence
- Adapt to changing cargo types and vessel layouts throughout shifts
What We're Looking For
- Active membership with ILA Longshoremen Local 1694
- Demonstrated experience working as a stevedore or longshoreman in port operations
