About the Role

As a Housing Specialist within our Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) program, you will be an integral part of the social service team based in Prince, Manhattan. This full-time, on-site position centers on guiding veterans and veteran households toward housing stability — serving as the vital link between participants and housing providers while helping each individual move past obstacles and reach the milestones set in their personalized housing plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver Rapid Rehousing and Homelessness Prevention services to veterans and their families enrolled in the SSVF program.
• Act as a bridge between program participants and housing providers, fostering productive relationships that lead to permanent placements.
• Support and empower veterans to identify and overcome barriers to securing or maintaining housing.
• Help participants set, track, and achieve the objectives outlined in their individualized housing stability plans.
• Collaborate closely with fellow members of the social service team to coordinate wraparound support.
